I've always had a fondness for Corsairs, but the penultimate versions were those power by the huge Pratt & Whitney R-4360 radial engine (3000 horsepower!). While some started with the F-4Us (only 2000 horsepower) and added the big motor for racing, one or two were the F2Gs--the Goodyear-built Corsairs with the -4360 and cut-down rear canopy.

The current racing Corsair is this gorgeous example. One of the four blades is white while the other three are black, not to psych out the competition, but simply because that's what was available. Very distinctive. More here:
